It is estimated that some 300,000 children live in Haiti as domestic servants known as "Restaveks". Working as domestic servants in the homes of strangers, these children face untold hardships. Through their desperately poor parents hoped that sending them to live with wealthier families would give them better life, this is rarely the case.
By supporting this event we can bring hope, a purpose, and the love of Christ into the lives of poor restaveks who have nothing of their own and suffer loneliness, neglect and abuse. The opportunity for an education at one of these schools empowers restavek children to change their situation by giving them the tools they need for a better life.
