Seven Guiding Principles 

Cross International Pledges to:

  1. Operate with integrity as a committed Christian ministry, grounded in prayer - but serve all in need, regardless of their religious beliefs.
  2. Hold a tenacious commitment to keep overhead costs low.
  3. Maintain a "tunnel vision" focus on helping the poorest of the poor.
  4. Reach the poor with both material aid (food, medicines, shelter, clothing, job training, etc.) and the hope of the Gospel.
  5. Show special compassion to needy brothers and sisters in Christ.
  6. Pursue high levels of productivity and remain dedicated to a pursuit of excellence for the glory of God.
  7. The poor are rich in faith. Make a serious commitment to develop an exchange of love and prayer between the Church in America and churches in developing countries.
