Delivering Food, Shelter, and Hope to the Poorest of the Poor.

On his trip to Mexico, Pope Francis celebrated Mass in the southern state of Chiapas. He was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the region’s indigenous people groups. Click here for the story.

How Cross Catholic Outreach is making an impact

The state of Chiapas is home to beautiful countryside and rich history, but also home to great poverty and suffering for indigenous people groups. At Cross Catholic Outreach, we know the Lord has not forgotten about his people in Chiapas, and that’s why we partner with the Salesian Sisters who run boarding homes for indigenous girls trapped in the cycle of poverty. The Salesian Girls’ Homes provide safe places for vulnerable young women to grow and mature, receive an education, eat healthy daily meals and be nurtured in the Catholic faith. Please read more about how you can help the Salesian Sisters share Christ’s love at Casa Hogar Copainalá and Villa Mornese. Together, we can follow Pope Francis’ example of reaching out to the poorest of the poor in Chiapas!
