Position Title: Reporting and Monitoring/Evaluation Coordinator
Department: International Grants/Foundations
Reports to: International Grants Director

Education or Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, International Relief and Development, Statistics, Grant Writing/Seeking, or a related field.

Minimum of three years' experience in business/technical/grant writing in a nonprofit, preferably in international relief and development. Development background with solid technical skills for handling grant reporting and data collection, interpretation, and presentation. Ability to write reports and to communicate well in English.

Solid background in Monitoring and Evaluation as it pertains to grant reporting and data collection.

Dedicated Christian (Catholic, Protestant), with support for integral ministry (spiritual/material impact).

Fluency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole a plus.

Position Summary:
The Reporting and Monitoring/Evalutation Coordinator is responsible for data-related aspects of grant writing/reporting for internal and external use of grant-funded and other projects. The position will handle final reporting (written), ongoing data management, general documentation, tracking and some formal presentation of data to groups. S/he will liaise with IPOs and GIK staff in the monitoring and evaluation of key projects, in order to tabulate and report on program specific initiatives. Reporting to the International Grants Director, the person filling the position will be highly organized, with a solid knowledge of data collection and interpretation for evaluation of program outcomes and impact. S/he must have strong writing skills, some document design ability, with attention to detail and experience working with both qualitative and quantitative data. S/he must have the ability to multi-task, to communicate professionally in English to external and internal stakeholders, and to understand multiple programmatic sector areas. S/he must be computer literate, with a strong background in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. The candidate should be comfortable working with databases and have a good understanding of the nonprofit as well as the international relief and development fields.

Job Responsibilities:
  •  •  Work closely with the Grants and Projects and GIK units to write the M&E sections of grant applications. This will require working hand in hand with oversees Partners.
  •  •  Work closely with the Grants, Projects and GIK units to perform analysis, formatting, and presentation of project and institutional quantitative and qualitative data and narratives for written reports.
  •  •  Design data collection instruments for reporting, including survey tools, partner interviews, relevant questionnaires, reports that tabulate results, and handling training and capacity building of program partners.
  •  •  Provide support to programmatic teams in streamlining processes for project-specific data management and reporting.
  •  •  Proactively identify key programmatic components for further evaluation and analysis.
  •  •  Work in close collaboration with the Projects and GIK teams to perform data analysis, internal and external project reporting to assess progress towards achievement of targets, as well as support results-based decision-making by programmatic teams.
  •  •  Manage and support the use of a database - or data stored in Excel.
  •  •  Analyze and present institutional and project specific achievements and challenges in the form of mid-term or final reporting to internal and external audiences, including collaborating on building presentations to be used during executive and other meetings.
  •  •  Work closely with the Projects and GIK teams to coordinate the evaluation of global, regional, initiatives and capture and disseminate best practices emerging from these projects.
  •  •  Support the inclusion of data analysis, evaluation reports and documented best practices for internal reference.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required/Preferred:
  •  •  Experience with databases or tabulation of data in Excel; understanding of data standards, records and data security.
  •  •  Ability to work well with multidisciplinary teams and independently.
  •  •  Experience providing remote and on-site technical assistance.
  •  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen to and communicate with different stakeholders in report formats and/or presentation, to "tell a story" backed up by solid data.
  •  •  Cultural competence to respectfully interact with various audiences.
  •  •  Dedicated Christian (Catholic, Protestant), with support for integral ministry (spiritual/material impact).
  •  •  Energy, ability to serve as a resource person for programmatic personnel for project design.
  •  •  Experience working in resource poor settings.
  •  •  Ability to support Partners with limited M&E experience.
  •  •  Fluency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole a plus.
