Restoring Homes

YOUR SUPPORT WILL BLESS THE SICK, ELDERLY AND DISABLED

In Addis Ababa, poor Ethiopian families can barely scrape together enough money to feed themselves, so finding the money to keep a safe roof over their heads is out of the question. They live in shanties with crumbling walls, leaky roofs and dirt floors. These dilapidated places are damp, muddy, unsanitary and unsafe – particularly to the sick, disabled and elderly – but it's all these poor people have.

PROVIDE SAFE SHELTER FOR THE POOR

Help repair or rebuild the homes of the sick or elderly poor. Help construct ramps for poor disabled children to make their homes handicapped-accessible.

A DIGNIFIED LIFE FOR EVERYONE

Operating under the auspices of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, the Brothers of Good Works ministry strives to improve the health and welfare of the families who live in a poor urban area of the capital city of Addis Ababa. Among their many outreaches, the Brothers of Good Works provides:

  • Meals and other services for the elderly.
  • Health care and counseling to persons living with HIV/AIDS or children with disabilities.
  • Wheelchair ramps that can help children and the elderly regain independence.
  • House repairs and constructions to better accommodate the elderly and disabled.

Will you join us in this work of mercy?
The poor of Ethiopia are desperate for a miracle, and you can be part of the solution!

Proceeds from this campaign will be used to cover any expenditures for the Restoring Homes Project incurred through June 30, 2018, the close of our ministry’s new fiscal year. In the event that more funds are raised than needed to fully fund the project, the excess funds, if any, will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the ministry.
